The Fire & Emergency Services Department attends to fire incidents and other emergencies such as building collapse, road traffic incidents and rescue of people. The role of the Department is to combat fire, enforce inbuilt fire protection arrangements, effective fire prevention and creating awareness of fire safety.

At present there are 130 Fire Stations in the State provided with Fire engine and other necessary equipments. More than 5500 Fire Personnel are engaged in tackling emergencies. E-services for Fire Safety Certificate and Fire Licenses have been started.
